Vandals' bid to kill train driver

Vandals made a deliberate attempt to kill or maim a Connex commuter train driver, it is revealed today.

They tied a piece of concrete to a rope and dangled it at windscreen height from a footbridge, where it was hit by a train travelling to Victoria at up to 70mph last night.

It smashed through the toughened glass but did not penetrate the cab. The shaken driver was not hurt.

Absolute, brain-dead morons. If they ever catch these people, they should tie them to a rope by the ankles and dangle THEM from a bridge in front of trains.

Vandalism is one thing, but this is nothing less than attempted murder.

I'm surprised these vandals actually knew what a train was...

Yeah, but if they killed the train driver it may have killed all of the passengers and passers by if the train had derailed as it would obviously then have no driver.

Martial law I say.

Good grief, there is clearly an abnormality in the way their brains function.

That is sick. Who in their right mind would even think of doing something like that?

Yet another reason why I stay well away from London. I'm happy with my country existance.

What’s sickening about the incident is not that they tried to kill someone, but that they didn't seem feel anything towards taking another life.

It's a trend among idiots like this today, who seem to think it fun causing accidents and injuries to other people. They don't feel guilt about their actions, even when they seriously injure or even kill someone.
