"Are there any new console plans?"

Now that the Gamecube and the Xbox are out, does anyone know of any new consoles being released in the next year or so? If I'm correct I believe that the Playstation2 has been out for two years now so are they planning another console?

I don't read any gaming magazines so I would appreciate any news anyone has.

Or you can just tell me to do one......

i see what you mean, yes, but you can also think about it retrospectively. who won the 16-bit battle? sega. can you name 10 mega drive games worth playing now? i can name 30 snes ones worth paying £40 for. and also i don't think anyone will be scouring shops looking for psone consoles ten years from now, cos everyone will want to play the true classics of the late 1990s on the N64!

Deserved or not, it won't happen. This generation has already been 'won', if you look at it in those terms.

You are probably about the only person on the face of the planet who does, then!

A console that was made by games developers (ie Sega, Nintendo, Rare, Square, Codemasters etc etc) and not power hungry uber-corporations (you know who I mean) would be quality.
