I don't know about the rest of you, but me and my dad reckon that the crowds at these World Cup games sound like a bunch of screaming schoolkids!

Whenever there's something 'exciting' happening - such as goalmouth action - the crowd noise is so high-pitched that it feels like you're watching the England friendlies at Wembley, or the U-21 or U-19 games, when there are usually a lot of youngsters in the ground.

It's not usually too bad when there are teams like England and Denmark playing each other, because there's a lot of travelling support. But a prime example was the South Korea vs. Italy game - whenever Korea got near the goal, it was like walking past a primary school playground!

I have the answer to this little but very annoying problem.

Mute the telly.

It was kind of funny in a way aswell, because they were singing and then as soon as they got the ball they screamed. Just imagine trying to take a penalty shoot out with that noise.

The answer's pretty simple - as many women go to the football in Japan and South Korea as men do, and women tend to scream when exciting things happen.

Yeah, I know what you mean! It's probably all the Japanese women and girls when they see Beckham on the ball - or even when they just see Beckham!

There's also a woman who shrieks at Highbury - I remember they had her on the phone once on Soccer AM.

Im sure the Japan fans did this every time they got into the opposing box, sometimes even when they got into the opposing half.

Yep I've heard that and I commented on it to my Dad. We both say how there are screams.

It's always at the South Korea matches mostly though, you got all those girls screaming about nothing.

Why scream when you can shout?

What does screaming do? Are they scared?

Why scream at all?!?

Weird Western school girls.
