Welcome back to Eclipse, and the crowd here are really hyped for our next match-up. Because it’s for a place in the KOTR Final. Current King Of The Ring Champion The Rock (Starlight) is looking to pull off a remarkable achievement by retaining his title in the actual tournament, while Rob Van Dam (Rickoss) is hoping to become only the second man ever to win the KOTR Tournament.
And the current rumour is, whoever becomes the King Of The Ring at Free-Fall, is automatically given a shot at the SRW Championship the next week on Eclipse! This holds many possibilities; we may have a new SRW Champion at Free-Fall, so it would be his first defence, and we may see a CAW Wrestler, in Jetster, be the first to challenge for the title!
(Jetster’s music hits) The crowd are on their feet, but booing, as the CAW KOTR Finalist makes his way to the ring! He cockily struts to the ring, but then heads left and joins Good Ol’ Mojo and Jerry “The Dark One” Lawler at the Announcers Table, it looks like he wants to see his opponent up close and personal.
(ONE OF A KIND!) BOOM!! The audience have gone wild, because here comes Rob…Van…DAM (Rickoss)! He acknowledges the audience to their delight and politely rejects the offer of a Special Reserve Chocolate Bar from a small boy, who’s also wearing a new Special Reserve T-Shirt that was designed by Tony himself. It says on the front: “I got games. How ‘bout you?” And on the back, it lists many of the video games this boy owns, including the fantastic Metal Gear Solid!
“IF YA SMELL, WHAT THE ROCK, IS COOKIN’!!” Another fantastic response from our capacity crowd here in Billericay, as The Rock (Starlight) saunters to the ring, his KOTR Belt and Trophy in his hands! He sets the trophy carefully on the Announcers Table, where Jetster looks at it with lust, and gives his belt to the referee. Finally, we’re all set for this huge match.
The bell rings and RVD (Rickoss) doesn’t want to wait, as he sprints at Rock (Starlight)! Rock skips out of the way and RVD rolls back onto his feet. RVD rolls once again, this time past The Rock, and then again! Rock looks confused, and as he goes for RVD, Mr Monday Night leaps up and nails a beautiful Karate Kick! The crowd wince at the sound made of boot on skin!
The kick was so effective that Rock (Starlight) has fallen out of the ring, and is staggering around on the outside! RVD (Rickoss) senses opportunity, and he bounces himself off the ropes and catapults himself into a Rope Flip, landing right on his opponent! The air’s been crushed out of Rock’s lungs as he’s rolled back into the ring, and RVD bounces off the ropes once again and delivers the ROLLING THUNDER!
RVD (Rickoss) is on fire early in the match, and Jetster seems to be acknowledging this. “Well,” he says to Mojo, “I’m gonna go for RVD (Rickoss) on this one, he definitely looks like the better wrestler here tonight.”
RVD (Rickoss) throws some right-hands, and then tosses Rock into the turnbuckle. Rock falls to the ground, and RVD sprints to the corner and onto the second rope, looking for a Moonsault. RVD looks behind him and sees The Rock (Starlight) anticipating the move and he rolls out of the way, so RVD (Rickoss) changes his plans and jumps to the next rope, scoring with a brilliant Missile Dropkick!
Rock (Starlight) is down again and RVD (Rickoss) wants to nail this Short-Legged Moonsault (sorry, no idea what it’s called, just a guess) so once again he goes to the second rope. He looks behind again and Rock has again anticipated, and is trying to roll out of the way. Rock (Starlight) is clever this time though, and he feigns the roll, but actually stays where he is. But RVD (Rickoss) goes one step further, takes a quick glance again and instead of climbing to the top rope uses amazing speed to get the Moonsault!
“A battle of the brains there,” Jetster comments, “you’ll see that both tried to outwit the other with feigns and dummies, but in the end RVD (Rickoss) came out on top, so I still think he’ll win.”
RVD (Rickoss) poses to the crowd, but this is a mistake as Rock (Starlight) suddenly leaps to his feet and begins to lay the Smackdown! He whips RVD ferociously across the ring, and meets him with a massive Belly-To-Belly Suplex! RVD (Rickoss) doesn’t like that at all and he runs at Rocky, but he’s taken down again, this time with a powerful Spinebuster!
“No, I’ve changed my mind, Rock will win this one, because as he’s just shown, he can come back from anything and at anytime.”
Rock (Starlight) sits his opponent on the top rope, and joins him up there. He hooks the arm over his shoulder, and literally just falls back into a SUPERPLEX-WHAM!! The impact echoed around the arena! Rock (Starlight) gets to his feet, and sees RVD (Rickoss) lying motionless on the mat! He stands over him, and kicks RVD’s arms! We know what’s coming!
He pulls off the elbow pad and tosses it into the screaming crowd, swings his arms around for a bit, and then runs! Bounces off one set of ropes, bounces off the other and the People’s…ELBOW! Rock makes a cover, this one’s finished!
1…2…RVD (Rickoss) kicks out! Rock (Starlight) is in shock, he was a tenth of a second away from being in the KOTR Final! He hassles referee Earl Hebner (Mr Snuggly), he’s sure that was a 3-count! RVD (Rickoss) is up though, and he turns Rock around and hits a Roundhouse Kick!
RVD (Rickoss) jumps up to the top rope, and signals! He leaps-FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH!! BIG IMPACT! He holds his stomach, before rolling into a pin!
“Okay, I know for sure now, RVD (Rickoss)’s gonna win this,” Jetster says, quickly changing his mind!
1…2…KICK-OUT! AWESOME RESILIANCY FROM THE ROCK (STARLIGHT)!
RVD (Rickoss) isn’t affected though, and he quickly picks up Rock (Starlight) and throws a couple of right-hands, causing Rock to stagger back onto the ropes. RVD (Rickoss) looks to gain speed as he catapults himself off the ropes towards the ROCK BOTTOM!! WHAM!!! FROM ABSOLUTELY NO WHERE, ROCK (STARLIGHT) PRODUCES THE ROCK BOTTOM!
“Nope, Rock (Starlight)’s gonna win,” Jetster says very quickly as Rock makes the pin.
1…2…3! It’s over! Rock (Starlight) has done the unthinkable and has come through it all, he has a great chance of conquering all the odds and successfully defending his KOTR Title at Free-Fall! As Jetster leaves the Table he looks uncertain, I don’t think he knows much about his opponent judging by his guesswork today.
But look, as Rock (Starlight) celebrates in the ring Jetster sneaks in, and tries to set him up for a Backdrop Suplex! But Rock (Starlight) rolls out of it, and they are left staring at each-other eye-to-eye! We fade out with this scene, who will win the match at Free-Fall? Who will get a shot at the SRW Championship? All our questions will be answered next week…don’t miss it.

The commentry part added an extra element to the match and it sets up a great King of the Ring final.
I had a feeling it would be The Rock V Jetster in the final. I also had a feeling that there would be a staredown at the end. Who's going to win?

“A battle of the brains there,” Jetster comments, “you’ll see that both tried to outwit the other with feigns and dummies, but in the end RVD (Rickoss) came out on top, so I still think he’ll win.”
RVD (Rickoss) poses to the crowd, but this is a mistake as Rock (Starlight) suddenly leaps to his feet and begins to lay the Smackdown! He whips RVD ferociously across the ring, and meets him with a massive Belly-To-Belly Suplex! RVD (Rickoss) doesn’t like that at all and he runs at Rocky, but he’s taken down again, this time with a powerful Spinebuster!
“No, I’ve changed my mind, Rock will win this one, because as he’s just shown, he can come back from anything and at anytime.”
Rock (Starlight) sits his opponent on the top rope, and joins him up there. He hooks the arm over his shoulder, and literally just falls back into a SUPERPLEX-WHAM!! The impact echoed around the arena! Rock (Starlight) gets to his feet, and sees RVD (Rickoss) lying motionless on the mat! He stands over him, and kicks RVD’s arms! We know what’s coming!
He pulls off the elbow pad and tosses it into the screaming crowd, swings his arms around for a bit, and then runs! Bounces off one set of ropes, bounces off the other and the People’s…ELBOW! Rock makes a cover, this one’s finished!
1…2…RVD (Rickoss) kicks out! Rock (Starlight) is in shock, he was a tenth of a second away from being in the KOTR Final! He hassles referee Earl Hebner (Mr Snuggly), he’s sure that was a 3-count! RVD (Rickoss) is up though, and he turns Rock around and hits a Roundhouse Kick!
RVD (Rickoss) jumps up to the top rope, and signals! He leaps-FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH!! BIG IMPACT! He holds his stomach, before rolling into a pin!
“Okay, I know for sure now, RVD (Rickoss)’s gonna win this,” Jetster says, quickly changing his mind!
1…2…KICK-OUT! AWESOME RESILIANCY FROM THE ROCK (STARLIGHT)!
RVD (Rickoss) isn’t affected though, and he quickly picks up Rock (Starlight) and throws a couple of right-hands, causing Rock to stagger back onto the ropes. RVD (Rickoss) looks to gain speed as he catapults himself off the ropes towards the ROCK BOTTOM!! WHAM!!! FROM ABSOLUTELY NO WHERE, ROCK (STARLIGHT) PRODUCES THE ROCK BOTTOM!
“Nope, Rock (Starlight)’s gonna win,” Jetster says very quickly as Rock makes the pin.
1…2…3! It’s over! Rock (Starlight) has done the unthinkable and has come through it all, he has a great chance of conquering all the odds and successfully defending his KOTR Title at Free-Fall! As Jetster leaves the Table he looks uncertain, I don’t think he knows much about his opponent judging by his guesswork today.
But look, as Rock (Starlight) celebrates in the ring Jetster sneaks in, and tries to set him up for a Backdrop Suplex! But Rock (Starlight) rolls out of it, and they are left staring at each-other eye-to-eye! We fade out with this scene, who will win the match at Free-Fall? Who will get a shot at the SRW Championship? All our questions will be answered next week…don’t miss it.
