A while back quite a few of you wanted me to check and see if CD/RW's work in your Xbox, well the result is they do. After trying CD/R's and them not working I have just tries a CD/RW with 4 tracks on it and it has worked fine. I hope this has cleared a few things up for you guys!

To be honest, for taking audio onto the Xbox, using CD-RW suits me fine.

At least I can re-use it once I've finished.

Well apparently CD's written at high speed dont work on the XBox, but ones written at a lower speed do. I havent tested it out so I dont know, I just heard it from other people.

CD-RW's DEFINITELY work.

I put 10 audio tracks onto one and transfered all ten successfully onto the hard drive.

Good news there then. Frankly I couldn't care less whether this means copied games will work as I will never buy them.

I'll give it a bash tonight with an RW disc. Then we'll see if there is an issue with how many tracks are on a disc etc...

What on earth has the burning speed got anything to do with it?!!!!

I have never heard anything about burn speed altering the properties of a disc.

I was wondering about CD-RW though as they are supposed to be similar to ordinary discs.

The only thing I actually want it for is to take MP3's from my PC to the Xbox for soudtracks.

And CDRs do work. I've heard that you need to burn the CD's at a low speed for the Xbox to be able to detect the CDR or CD/RW.
