I am going to talk about a game that i thought about, and it should be on ps2.
after the third world war. only 3 places on earth remain: America , united kingdom and russia.
the world is at war and food supplies and drink are running low.
when you start off the game you can choose to start off in either country and must gather a team of fighters in which to keep the peace.the game is a third person action/adventure. in combat you can also switch to first person view for higher accuracy.
since resources are low the other countries will invade and try to steal and kill in order to survive. depending on how you keep the peace in your city, your city will change. for example if you don't bother keeping you city well defended then eventually over time to textures will get darker, more sinister,with more graffiti in places, there will be a lot more crime in your city. but if you keep your city well and improve it by defending it and have succesful attacks on the enemies, then the city you are in will be more bright, with less crime less graffiti and violence, another point if you do this is that all the police forces and armies will have a lot more incentive and honour to fight. so eventually you can build up an army and attack the others. a story mode in which you have to do specific missions which include assasinations of rival gang leaders. Espionage and secrecy, to go into enemy territory undetected gather information and come back, and other missions in which you have to rescue captured leaders of your country. depending on how well you do you earn money- with more money you an buy better weapons ,satelite navigation systems, armour, better training for your members of your clan.
by using the i-link port 2 ps2's can be connected in quick battle modes. or you can load up already trained teams. The graphics and sound will be great:
running at 60 fps, massive cities with living people and a constantly evolving world. brilliant lighting effects and environmental bump mapping which can be used to the players advantage.
Sound: the use of dolby digital 5.1 means charactors can be heard from around different corners and footsteps from behind.
the game will have a lot of variety for example,america will have plenty of machine guns and revolvers and also sensoryequipment to detect people with guns, while england and ireland will have more handguns and shotguns and melee weaponry such as baseball bats and knives.
with russia many guns are present including rocket launchers and chemical weaponry.there can also be viruses and plagues spread in different countries. if you want to be a succsessful leader you have to plan your strategies. i.e:
knockout the enemy cities hospitals with rocket launchers and then spread the plague through the people's city. so with no medical help everyone will be prone for the disease, with advanced AI the enemy can do the same or heavily enforce the hospital.
if you can't find the weapon you want then the black market sections of the city can supply you with them, only for a higher price. if your city is doing badly then your team will be more likely to try and join other countries or go against you. of course you can do the same. you recriut your teams by searching out police stations for anyone bothered to try and save the country.
with the broadband capabillities then you could really go against someone in america or russia.
the game will have parental controls, since things can get a bit violent. if one of the counrties are getting stronger then you can ally with one gang and go against the other. gaining respect through out the world, this can lead to more assasination attempts.
