Ridge Racer 5 was probably the weakest in the series. Been a long time waiting for some new Ridge action, and for me, 6 hasn't disappointed. It's gone a bit Burnout by introducing all the Nitros stuff, but there are still races that don't let you use it for some classic action.

I did like 5 on the PS2 but it's never really held my attention for long and i switch elsewhere
Haven't got PGR3 yet. Only recently started playing PGR2 on the original xbox. And I'm sure it's not going to be that significantly different. Ridge Racer on the other hand is a completely different style of racer, and I really like the style of tracks used in the game. We're loving the Ridge Racer. Been playing for about 9hrs now, and only done 23% of the World Tour mode.
