I recently grabbed the BlamBot! address (http://www.blambot.com/) from FunkyGamers recent thread.

And although I'm not 'heavily' into web development, I've got a couple of sites floating about the net.

One of the biggest problems I found while attempting to build the sites was finding any half-decent resources, (for fonts, CGI and PHP scripts, etc) from the web

I found myself spending hours, even days trawling through useless sites, just to find the right font stlye for the homepage title.

And although as I spend more time site building in the future that I'll have a slowly expanding decent resource list, which will cut down surfing...

I thought that maybe by sharing our collective sources here we could help save each other a few hours of our lives (which can be more valuable used in sleeping, drinking, etc)

Any recommendations?

I always end up at 1001freefonts... Wading through the pop-ups to get to the fonts! :) ...

Although I did find, the ever useful (though strangely boring)

www.free-typewriter-fonts.com

Other than that... how about...

javaboutique.internet.com??

lol... yeah, that’s right. Though I suspect you project was a good deal better than my unfortunate creation (I don’t think I ever managed to play a game completely without it crashing)... I hear that Dark Basic is a pretty neat interface to DirectX (especially Direct3D) which gives you a pretty powerful package... Although, while I was looking at other versions of JET PAC lately I noticed they needed portable versions of the basic interpreter before they would work (I seem to remember AMOS doing the same, but I could be wrong?)

I second the recommendation by Nimco of http://hotwired.lycos.com/webmonkey/ it's what I always used to use, but be careful, some of the articles might be a bit dated.

For search engine stuff, nip over to http://www.searchenginewatch.com, for ASP stuff try http://www.asp101.com.

Hey, Armitage Shanks, did I read in antoher thread somewhere that you used to develop in AMOS? I did my A Level project in AMOS, it was crap, but the language was great! I was thinking of buying Dark Basic for the PC, which has been written by the guy that did AMOS.... Anyhow, I digress.
