Right, firstly I'd like to say,
I know it's old news now, but it still really makes me want to cry!

Does anyone else feel really cheated about the whole resident evil thing being nintendo exclusve?

I'm not being funny but the resident evil games are definitely my fave games of all time, and the main reason I got a PS2 is cuz I heard code veronica was coming out for it, so I thought SORTED! the resi games are coming to Ps2. But now I know this is not the case and basically, I haven't exactly fallen in love with the game cube, but I've got to get one purely for the damn resi games. basically I'm going to spend £100+ just for the sake of at most 10 games. It really makes me sick!

On other news Nintendo after the gamecube, Nintendo are going to be concentrating on soley games rather than consoles, they seem to think that the whole console thing is reaching its limit, and if it goes much further it's going to destroy the games industry all together, quite mad I reckon. But there you go.

Well, Code Veronica was meant to be DC exclusive... odd how capcom use the word "exclusive" (OH! but the PS2 got "Code Veronica X" you say!).

I'd be suprised if the resie series is dropped from the PS2 forever... they'll port the games back from the GC eventually.

No - I dont feel cheated at all cos I have a Gamecube as well :)

As far as the other news from nintendo goes, I would say it's very early days yet. The rumour that they will cease console production altogether just doesn't seem to hold any water.

They sold nearly 33 million N64's (Was it really a failure then ?) They have to date sold over 4 million Gamecubes already. They have sold 118 Million Gameboys and 18 Million Gameboy Advances.

Do they really look like the kind of sales figure that are going to make a company pull out of a business. I dont think so !

With the GC only just being launched and consoles generally having a life of 4 - 5 years I think it will be a couple of years before Nintendo come to a firm decision as to what if anything will follow GC.
