Well, I never saw much of him, but from what I did he seemed quite entertaining with a lot of charisma.

He was good despite his age. I'll miss him but but other people will replace him.
DDP was great!
He wasn't much in the WWF though which was a shame. He had a lot of charisma though, always made me smile.
I reckon he should have retired as he wasn't being used much and it's better to quit while you're ahead.

He might be doing some commentry as in his WWF contract it said that if he was to retire there was a chance that he could do some commentating in the future.

I liked DDP, so it's a shame to see him go. But then again, he is pretty ancient. So now he'll spend his life replying to all of his fan-mail and starring in low-budget cameos roles in Kevin Smith films. :-D
I think he made the right choice to retire as he is getting old and if he wrestles with a neck injury it may make him perform at a lower standered. Still he was good in WCW.
