As expected, Nigeria are proving to be tough opponents
However we are not without our faults, our passing and movement is not as good as the argentina game as dome of the balls have been looses and given away easily. Our final 3rd play is not great at all, the final ball just doesnt seem to be there, but Nigeria have been pressing well and going on good counter attcks, Rio Ferdinand is having another great game and that sums the game up really.
The one great thing about the game so far is a 25 yard shot from Paul Scholes which the keeper parried onto the post, a really good save from a 19 yr old keeper who has done nothing otherwise..
I think its time to see Teddy Sheringham as Heskey has nothing in this game, we need some creativity.
We'll have to see what happens, the clock currently shows 57 minutes gone, so still time to get a goal, but we have to watch the counter attacks..
Come on England!
In regards to David Beckham, he's probably just tired remember he's been rushed to get match fit for the last few games, its good that he's pacing himself, we will need him more in the next round.
It doesn't look good for the rest of the tournament.
Also, hasn't Beckham looked poor?
i'm 'reading' this match on TimeOnline using their ingenious MatchTracker
:-D
Vassel is now coming on for Owen, Sheringham had a good chance earlier but he hit it sky high.
Sweden 1 Argenina 0
Nigeria 0 England 0
