Different time,
Different people,
Different place,
Same story,
Round the sun,
It all passes,
The circle is completed yet another time,

I’ve seen it all before,
I know how it ends,
With hurt,
With pain,
With lies,
With broken promises,
And ultimately,
With a scar,

At the start of the road,
It was all contrast,
One big adventure,
Another day,
A new day,
Always different,

At the middle of the road,
I realised it was all the same,
One day?
It may as well be one year,
A new year,
Just like the last,
Exactly the same,
Just a little bit closer to the light,

And now I’m tired,
I’m tired of all the pain,
I’m tired of the hurt,
I’m tired of the lies,
I’m tired of slipping, just when I find my feet,
I’m tired of Catch 22,
I’m tired of idealism,
I’m tired of pragmatism,
I’m tired of optimism,
I’m tired of pessimism,
I’m tired of being tired,
I’m tired of the pretending,
Can’t I just be me?

That would break the cycle,
Change my circle,
Greener grass,
But before long,
New becomes old,
And I’ll be back in the lonely spiral once again,
And again, before long,
I’ll be tired once more,
Tired of me this time,
Not the pretence,

I’m still searching,
Searching for a ride,
That still remains fresh,
Again and again,
Searching for a circle,
That I’d love to give just one more turn,
One more spin,
Searching for something,
Where my footing won’t slip,
I won’t tumble,
I’ll keep my balance,
And I’ll walk the rope just one more time.

Surely you know what he means, er-no. I'm sure Rasta can write better than a lot of people who are over 18, because he can be bothered.

I think Grix means we're not 'supposed' to be able to write as well, just because we're younger. However, 'it makes you think' because we can write well at our age.

Not sure where the word 'we' came from... :D

Great stuff Rasta, I'm not usually into the 'poetry' sort of thing but I enjoyed that. {:)

You know, the best and most enjoyable stuff I've ever read in my life, is not only on these forums, but by people who are 'too young' to write proper stuff, to write with emotion.
