Ricky Butcher, one of the stars of the special two-parter Eastenders will soon be coming back to Walford looking after Liam and creating a whole new load of storylines without having to audition a load of other people first. Rumours are that in a years time, Bianca will be back for her son and a long two-year battle will take place for custody of Liam.
Other news is that Ian Beale will dump Nanny Laura with his kids and run away with his fantasy teenage 'bit on the side' Janine Butcher. "She needs stability," Ian stated, "She's been through a traumatic experience with her financial crisis, but I'm ready to make her a thriving business..."
Note: We stopped him here before he dug himself into a deeper hole.
The big news story this week however: Trevor wins against Little Mo's appeal trial!
Here's the story:
Trevor Morgan, the 'Scottish Git' as we call him in the office, stands trial very soon against Maureen Morgan, his wife who he raped, beat and threatened her family, the slaters, many a time. He is re-defending himself against the accusations of the Slaters, and against his new girlfriend whom he has now physically assaulted.
However, just as it looks like things are winning for Mo, Trevor performs a stunning c....cunning stunt. He pleads insanity when the evidence is presented against him and puts it all down to Japanese gaming. The crazy games have warped his mind!
Here's his reasoning:
* He bought a GameCube - This small but crazy purple box has drained his intelligence all together. Too many hours of gaming on Super Monkey Ball have frustrated him so much he needed to vent it on someone.
* Super Smash Bros Melee - Just too much single player. Having spent all of his money at the Queen Vic, as all Walford residents do every day, he didn't have enough cash to buy a second controller, so after beating Peach and Zelda, he vented his frustration on Mo and Donna.
The theory behind his case:
In America, games have been repeatedly blamed for the causes of many a high-school shooting. Sure, the fact that these shootings usually happen by Swastica-clad, National-Socialist, clinically depressed teenagers, but games like Doom and Quake have still been blamed for the actions.
What Trevor Morgan is stating is that all this beating of loved ones occuring in Super Smash Bros Melee - Mario hitting Peach, Link shoving a grappling hook into Zelda's chest, and Pikachu hitting Jigglypuff (bet you didn't know about their secret-soap lives!) - has caused Trevor to be fascinated with hitting his loved ones. After all, isn't that what ordinary people do in todays world?
Because of the storywriters ambitions to keep Eastenders as realistic and hard-hitting as usual, the trial goes in Trevors favour again, and he recieves psychiatric help. Rumours are he'll be back, and Mo and Donna will still fall for his tricks, but will he be a nicer man? Will he have lost his Scottish accent and will he be played by someone who can act?

The power of games these days.... :)
More games on TV will make TV more interesting - like Mario Tennis in that Old El Paso advert!
I'll think of something again sometime...and forget it as soon as I sit down at my computer...dag-nabbit!
Ho hum.
:D
Good good.
