Films? What, in DivX format or something?

Where can I find out more about these ipods? Where can I buy one online from?

I wish..................!

I don't really want mini-disc - I would like to have lots of albums in one place, ready for listening - I have a discman, but you have to find the CDs etc, and knowing me, I would probably lose most of the minidiscs!

Mine's an MP3 CD player, and it's a brick. I can only use it when I have my bag with me, and I have to wrap a jumper or something around it so it doesn't jump and skip too much. That's the bad stuff, the good stuff is that you can get up to 13 hours of music on it (depending on the size of the CD) and you can also plug it into your TV and watch video files with it, or still images. And it was only £80 odd

Agreed. But I have a Sony MDLP player, which lets me get 4 or 5 CD's worth of music onto one MD, and I can get 10 MD's for between £10 and £15. Much more cost-effective.

I was looking at the Sony NET MP3 players, but decided against it purely on grounds of cost.

You can get an MP3 player for as little as £30 these days, then get the biggest media card you can, 256mb is great. That way you will not have to keep changing the songs and have the equivalent of loads of tapes.

Minidisc? Seems like a compromise for anyone into their technology, moveable media and all that. I prefer solid state, though it obviously comes at a price.

I bought a MiniDisc, which I prefer - media is cheaper.

About 2 hours of music at decent quality. Expandable via cards.

An iPod would be the best choice but sadly I have no saving schemes at the moment, seeing as I am paying my mum back for a major trip, and all my music is on my Windows Media player!
