Under what passion can we all stand equal and say "hell, we've all been there..."

Have we? Have we indeed... there's something greater I see beyond that. There's something more important.

What if incredibly... what could be of the person who judges others above his own needs? Less needs... but wants, when in fact, they can't really spot their own needs themselves...

And what if, for once, we realised that we HAVEN'T all followed the same roads... what if we realised that we can't expect others to see through the same glass we do? And what if we realised that some aren't even looking through glass at all?

Brown is brown because that's what we've been bought up to believe... but one man's blue is another man's pink, and... well, and. Sometimes we all see the same colour, sometimes we all see the same reflection...

The reflection of the water, the pool, the beautiful rippling surface... only few, if any, could ever dive straight down into that pool, open their eyes and see how deep the water really went. See what lay beneath, and marvel at the life that grew there... the beautiful tides that breathed a new world, the perfect world, one you could never tire of... and it exists.

But just because you can't see deep into one pool, doesn't mean there isn't one you can't see deep into.

Because while the visability may be poor for one man, another may be able see further than he's ever seen before... suddenly be able to put his arms behind his back and wrap his arms around the world. It's all so close, it's all so here.

And then... what if someone could do the same to your own water? See beyond the reflection and know you intimately?

Words that lead to kisses, kisses that lead to words, a ever continuing cycle of passion that has no real end, no climax, because there's no beginning, no runway to speed up from so you can launch yourself into the sky... but just a warm fireplace that refuses to die, keeps you walm as you watch the sun set over a cool new sky that you've seen a thousand times before but will never look the same. The kiss that you've felt so often, but for each time, it's like your memory was taken away... the first was never the best, there was NEVER a best... it was all just a beautiful road, no beginning, no end. A circle that you walk with the memory of a goldfish, you're never the same, you're continually growing... don't look for the word that could be better than the last one you said, look at your feet, look where you are, and look where you could be. Pack your love, pack your trust, take whatever you need with you, and set off down that road.

Words form in my mind like colours form in a sunset. I'm not a writer, I'm a thinker. I don't flow and carry you forward because I know what words appeal to people... it's as if you stuck a straw through my ear, and dripped my head dry of my inner thoughts and truths. That's all it is. Truth. Because there are no artists in this world, no musicians, no writers, no poets. Only communicators. We all have our own language, our own way of speaking.

Because we haven't all been there, I promise you. Only you have, and nobody can tell you otherwise. Don't learn from their experiences, take their failures into mind, but follow whatever roads you want, and don't be afraid to retrace yourself when you find dead-ends. Because you will find that road, the one that leads on forever, the beautiful way in which an apparently flat road seems to go upwards, tilts up towards the sky, so you can freewheel for the rest of your living days.

We haven't all been there... you're alone, you've had your experiences that nobody else have had. But we're still all together. We can be grouped that way. We can teach only what we feel, but we can't tell you what we know.

For what do we know? Can you be sure what you've learned is right? Can you be sure that you've made a right decision? Ever?

Of course you can. Because every decision you ever made or will make was and is the right one. Every hug you give was deserved, every shout you make was worth it.

Because one day you won't even have to TRY. You can just live, and you can be loved for being who you would be without anyone...

One day you'll communicate, and someone will communicate back. It won't feel like you're trapped, being held when you just want to spread your arms... you'll realise you were just drinking from the same teacup. Sure, we're all different, but that makes us all the same.

Don't go looking for your carbon copy. Go look for the person that can finish your sentences when you're struggling to speak, and can finish yours when you're a bit stumped too... Don't look for the teacher, look for the imaginary friend, the only one you could talk to, and then realise they're REAL... the one you know so well, but still surprises you... sure, you know what they're thinking when it counts... but you don't think the same.

Because how can you ever be bored of being yourself? And how cool would it be, if you could be loved for being that person?

And man. Keep your chin up, eh? Because just looking at your feet ain't going to help you see the road, is it?

Yup. Quoted from above:

"Don't learn from their experiences, take their failures into mind, but follow whatever roads you want, and don't be afraid to retrace yourself when you find dead-ends."

OK, I see your point.

I was afraid you meant what I thought you meant, which was just plain wrong. People have to know that they are not alone in what they feel, and that learning from those who have felt it before is an invaluable experience.

If we can't learn from the mistakes and experiences of others, how can we hope to aviod them in the future?

No, we can't be told what pain and hurt are, but we can be helped to avoid much of it.

Ah. What I'd say is, that's true. Very true. I'm not saying 'you're the only ones to fall in love', and 'you're the only ones to feel pain'... but you're the ones that have to feel your OWN pain. We're all unique in the way that we have to feel love for ourselves, we have to feel pain for ourselves...

We can't be told what pain is, we can't be told what hurt is, it's something we have to learn on our own.

Because even though we CAN stand and say we've all been there... we haven't been there together. We haven't looked over the table to copy the answers from the boy sitting next to you...

It's not a case of 'you don't know how I feel', which is what your quote means... but 'the roads we travel are lonely, but sometimes in the same direction as others, if not always''.

I've only read the first couple of paragraphs, but I just feel the need to quote "every generation believes they have invented the feelings they suffer and enjoy". Can't remember who said that, but the point is, what we experience is not unique, and people HAVE been there before, in a lot of cases, most people older than you have.

Our lives are remarkebly more linear than at first they appear.

Ah... but to me, that IS perfect. :0) Got the wrong message across, should have explained that a little better. I completely agree with you Pb, it's just perfection doesn't mean pure. Perfect is just exactly what you need, without being able to label anything properly.

I'll read this tomorrow... too tired today, I had the joy of macroeconomics and money supply and Keynesians and crecit creation multipliers have this habit of leaving you drained.. The exam was actually quite easy though.. hmm I want to read this though, but I'm not really absorbing things and if I write this now it should at least pop the post back up to the top of the forums until I get back :-)

Keep writing Grix, you help to maintain my sanity :-)

Love is not when you find your perfect partner and they find you, it is when they see your flaws and accept them as you accept theirs. To love a perfect being would take less energy, but the more the energy expended the brighter the flame burns.

Very nice again Grix.
