Back in 1999, punk/pop-punk (or whatever you want to call them) band, Blink-182 released a behind the scenes home video. It didn’t really give an informative insight but more of a hilarious look into the offstage lives of Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker.
Now three years later, The Urethra Chronicles II: Harder, Faster, Faster, Harder has been released onto Region 1 DVD.
The main feature is a forty-five (ish) interview with the band using loads of old and new home video clips, with virtually all of the songs from their latest album (Take Off Your Pants and Jacket) playing in the background.

The interview covers everything from touring to what happens backstage, making the video for “Stay Together For The Kids” to why Tom no longer has a shot at being President. The only let down in the main feature is the “Friends” chapter its just a load of pictures of the band’s close friends, it was on the first Urethra Chronicles and its virtually the same this time round. There is one difference this time at the end of the chapter there is a VERY American bit where, all three members of Blink are serious for a change saying how much they love each other and how they are best friends and nothing will ever come between it, and to make it even more soppy the background music is Tom playing a pretty cool acoustic tune.

Unlike The first Urethra Chronicles, The Urethra Chronicles II has extra features.
Including uncut videos for “First Date”, “The Rock Show”, “Stay Together For The Kids” and the original version of “Stay Together For The Kids”.
Live Performances of ”First Date”, “Carousel”, “Aliens Exist”, “The Rock Show”, and “Anthem Part II”. Mini interviews with Blink182’s management, just like the interviews with Blink using video clips and watching them say how much they love each other but mainly worth watching to see the baby that looks like a monkey. The photo gallery is self-explanatory. The “Do You Believe” feature is an interview with Tom about his belief in Aliens and Government conspiracies. “Mark Undercover” is a five min (ish) video of Mark Hoppus pretending to be a car park attendant, tour security guard and the funniest of the clips is Mark queuing up buying a ticket for his own show.
The oddest of all the features is “The Battle of the Enchanted Forest” feature, which you are best off seeing for yourself. “Dr. Brian” is a video clip of Tom having a video camera shoved up his nose and down into his throat.
“Making of Stay Together For The Kids” is basically a making of featurette. “1216 Beats” is a Travis Solo, which is bloody amazing, his hands just look a blur! And the “Message to all our fans” is as you guessed a message to the fans telling them/us whatever everything they do wouldn’t be possible without us/them.

If you like Blink-182, enjoyed the first Urethra Chronicles and you have a multi region player then this is definitely worth buying. Its “Harder, Faster, Faster, Harder”.

Bet that made no sense what so ever but I don’t care, my head hurts way too much to read through it again.
