I think that Beckham's penalty SHOULD have been miss of the tournament. Awful, awful strike.

Yeah, I saw that one this morning and I bet the guy feels ill - to say the least!!

I can see how it happened though, the ball seemed to bounce up right before he hit it. And he approached it all wrong anyway! He should have gone to hit it with his laces instead of trying to side-foot it.

I find I can cross a ball well with my side-foot as I can with my laces! But not quite as good.

9 yards according to the match report. Still should have been a goal though.

What about Batistuta's header in the England match? Instead of powering an open header into the back of the net, it pops it lamely straight into Seaman's hands.

I missed it, was it as bad as that Costa Rica miss yesterday? from that sub that scored the equaliser...

Also that russian sub missed a real sitter yesterday...

And Recoba really should have scored against France....

That was a terrible miss - It would have sent them into the next round had they have scored!

South Korea should have scored that penalty as well. Credit to Friedel though. Saved it very well.
