It seems that every World Cup, Fifa try to clamp down on some aspect of the game that they seem needs controling.

Weve had the tackle from behind, backpass, and even the amount of time that the goalkeeper has to get rid of the ball.

No such directive has been given for this World Cup as far as I know, but it seems to me that Referees have been told to stop any kind of contact in the penalty area from free kicks and corners.

Some of the new rules are for the good of the game but this doesn't really seem to be an area that is a big problem to me.

Surely a bit of 'Push and shove' is part of the game. Could you imagine trying to tell your Sunday league teams not to do it?

This is true but there was a blantent pull back yesterday in the Japan game and thats what the refs have to watch for but remember also Teddy Sherringham was sent off for shov9ng a player in the face that was pulling him alover the park. Thats the sort of thing that needs to be stopped
