It was a very strange race. MS won after Montoya's weird safety car induced strategy and his BMW engine blow up. Barrichello led early on but the safety car for Jacques Villeneuve's stopped car ruined his 2 stop strategy and finished 3rd. Ralf got held up behind Raikkonen and then his refueller didn't work and just finished in 7th. Raikkonen's car slowed down near the end and finished back in 4th. Coulthard seemed slow but then ended up second just behind MS because of his late pitstop and consistent driving. Fisichella drove strongly but lost out at the start and ended up 5th. Heidfeld was up with Coulthard until he ran into problems and finished way down. The rest of the field oevrtook each other due to different strategies and provided some entertainment. Button, McNish and Irvine all failed to finish.

All the front runners had good and bad spells and none had a brilliant day. One point that became obvious was that Ralf Schumacher couldn't overtake Raikkonen or Trulli. He doesn't seem to be brave enough to overtake anymore. He used to be a great overtaker and his late braking style should help but it doesn't. People like his brother, Barrichello and Montoya overtake relatively easily and it is a problem he needs to overcome before he can become world champion in the future. He's a very good driver but is no longer a good overtaker.

At a stage when mathematically anyone, even Yoong, can win the title, barring FIA intervention the driver's title is as good as won. 4 more wins and it's officially over but realistically if he wins the next 3 races Michael's the champion.

The last time Ralf overtook someone was Heidfeld at the USA GP. Wha the needs is to spin at the start like last year in Malaysia to get back into the swing of overtaking. In the last year he's overtaken very few fully functioning cars.

I think the hearing on the 26th June will be the only thing that could stop Schumacher winning the title very early.

Coulthard was lucky, and I think he'll admit that. He was never on the pace all weekend, and if it hadn't been for other peoples retirements and strategies that didn't work out, he would have been a few places lower.

To be fair though, he got to the end of the race, which is a lot more than some of the others.

We were robbed of a decent fight between Monty and Schuey, which is sad as it would have been a good finish to the race.

As for Ralf, he's won 4 races, but hasn't actually overtaken anyone to win them. He's either got past in the pits stops, or other cars have dropped out. I personally don't think he is championship material.

Looks like Schuey is going to walk away with the title again. Can't they just give him the trophy now and tell him to sod off and not bother coming back. That way we may have some exciting fights for first place.

I think a lot of the slower laps was to cool the engines because of all the junk that was getting in the side pods. I wouldn't be surprised if that was the reason why Montoya went out.

Coulthard ended on quite a high note again.

I think Montoya would have won it if he hadn't had engine troubles.

He was catching Schumacher by 1 second every lap, with loads of laps to go. Unluckily, his engine blew it, with 15 - 20 laps to go.
