I'm going round to my mates house later and he asked me to bring my Xbox. He has go a kickass 32 inch widescreen and Dolby surround sound. I personally can't wait to see my xbox running on it.

But, how do you set up your Xbox so that it works with DD 5.1? Can you hook it up using the composite cable you got with your Xbox or do you need and s-video cable or something.

Any info recieved in the next half hour or so would be great. Thanks.

Also to use 5.1 you need the Advanced Scart cable as that has the optical output for 5.1 sound systems. You will be able to have surround sound through the TV but I dont think you'll be able to have 5.1.

I got the surround sound working for the xbox after about half an hour as the back of his telly is a mess with all the leads( hes got sky, the speakers and DVD player, VCR etc). I plugged the yelow connecter straight into his TV and I plugged the red and white connectors into his DVD player, though which the surround sound was set up.
It probably wasn't 5.1 but it still was great.

His sister said she could hear us halfway up the street because the TV was up so loud. :) It was a fun night.
