look at it this way. Nigeria have lost and have 0 points. They can't qualifiy and therefore have nothing to play for. We will need a point against Argentina and then beat nigeria otherwise it's all over.

pfff.

We can still afford to lose to Argentina. so long as we can beat Nigeria 2-0 or better and Sweden lose to the Argies, we'll go through.

However, a point against the Argies will make things a little more likely to swing our way, since Argentina will be left on four points, and will need a win against sweden to gurantee their place in the second round.

It's all still to play for.

Not quite, since or chances go beyond the Argentina game. Look at France, who have taken one point from six, and only need a 2-0 win to ensure passage to the next round.

we can't lose otherwise we're out. it may look like we can qualify but sweden and argentina will play for the draw and both will qualify.

Sweden will play for the win. This will force goals into the game, making draw play impossible. The Argies will be under orders to play for a win anyway, as they'll want to ensure they finish top of the group.

Of course, winning would be nice... would have been nicer if Sweden drew earlier though...

*sigh*

Argentina will not want to win if Senegal or Denmark come top in their group as this would probably mean them them facing France which they don't want.
