Please help me, I'm stuck on Half-Life. I'm currently fighting the big Nihilinth boss (the last boss) and I do the part where he opens his head and I lob a few detpacks in there, then he starts spinning and getting higher with all this light going through him and then... NOTHING HAPPENS!!! anyone know why this is and can anyone help me please?
OK, this is how I defeated him.
Whip out yer rocket launcher and head over to one of the launchpads. Jump as you step over it to fly really high. See those orange crystals in the walls? Blast them with your rocket launcher. They're the Nihilinth's energy source and when he spins with the light passing through him, he's recharging. Without the crystals he can't replenish his health.
Now you can start blasting him. I would ignore his cronies for the time being. Just him strafing around him. Empty the gauss gun into him and when that's empty start with the shotgun. When he fires his purple blasts you can strafe them but the green blasts are lethal (you'll know what I mean) so I would get behind a pillar for them. When his head opens up you'll see an energy ball inside his head. Use the launchpads to fly over his head (you can land in there if you like) and blast his brains out.
