The Newcastle United player has convinced Eriksson he has recovered sufficiently from the knee injury which he suffered three weeks ago.
Dyer initially feared his hopes of being involved had disappeared, and was not involved in the England squad's pre-tournament break in Dubai.
But he made enough progress for Eriksson to keep the door open and invite him to join in training in South Korea and Japan.
Dyer has resumed full training and Eriksson has now told him he will stay with the other 22 players - and could feature against Sweden.
What are your thoughts on the matter, please discuss.
Thanks.
I just hope he isn't lying about his injury just so he does remain in Eriksson's plans! But he's a proffesional, and he should know that something like that is stupid and dangerous - he could make things a whole lot WORSE!
I don't think he'll start against Sweden - it's all too soon.
It'll be Heskey down the left - i'm sure now.
But we'll need pacey Dyer for the Nigeria game if not Argentina - and you can always expect him to arrive on the pitch as a substitute and have a strong influence on the game immediatley!
