"World cup bets"

Has anyone placed bets on the World cup?

My 14yr old mate put a £1 bet on Croatia to win the cup at 80-1, he will get £60 if their runners-up, £40 for coming in 3rd and £20 if they lose the 3rd place match.

That seems like a good bet and I am considering putting a bet on Italy at 5-1. So as I said, who else has made bets and who on?

The odds in one bookies was quite amazing for Ronaldo to get the golden boot. It was 20-1 at one point but when I came to put a bet on, the odds had been slashed so I never bothered.

£10 On Brazil.

My mate has 250 quid resting on italy winning the world cup. It's not at a bookies, so he won't get anything if they come 2nd etc.

you have to take into consideration the pitch in South korea and japan is not made for European teams, its difficult to play the ball around 'European Style' there its better to put your money each way, I think Camerron/Nigeria would be good outside bets, but I feel Argentian will win it in the end. Im think about putting a bet on camerron, I think they are 40-1 and they will be the surprise of the tournament.

where did you see that? i got the 10-1 odds of my wallchart

Italy have a really good chance making it too the final considering they cant meet Brazil, France and Argentina till the final.

Definitely worth a bet.

The best price on Michael Owen winning the golden boot was 2-1.

I saw England 33 - 1 somewhere.

They're an outside chance at the cup and a £10 bet would get you £100 if they won.

I may just bet on Englands opposition as either way I will win.
