Of the 32 teams in this years World Cup, they come from the following continents:

Europe: 15
South America: 5
Africa: 5
Aisa 4
N/Central America 3

Come the second round, there will only be 16 teams left, and this is how I predict they will balance out around the world:

Europe: 9
South America: 3
Africa: 2
Aisa 2

For the quarter finals we'll have 8 teams, spread as follows:

Europe: 5
South America: 2
Africa: 1

The semi's:

Europe: 3
South America: 1

The Final:

Europe: 1
South America: 1

Do you think my vague predictions will come true?

What FIFA says is political - As I said, Geographically they are Asian, and even FIFA can't change that.

If it wasn't for FIFA insisting that the world cup caters for as many continents as possible, out of the 32 teams which would qualify for the tournament, the only non-European teams which would qualify are probably; --Brazil
-Argentina
-Japan/Korea (but only because they're the hosts)
-perhaps Cameroon and Nigeria. (but probably not)

This is why teams like Holland aren't in the tournament. Even Scotland are better than half of the useless Asian and african teams...

Not to FIFA. They play European football, and are a part of UEFA.
