Does the Advance Scart slot into the same port as the standard scart lead?
> What does the scart lead do exactly?
Improves the picture quality by quite alot. On the lead you get with the Xbox all the 3 colours(Red, Green and Blue) each go down one lead, which means that they blend and text on the screen is all blurry. But the scart lead has each colour going through a different channel and so they dont mix and blur. Its like watching a video and then watching a DVD. The DVD is so much clearer.
With small TVs ie a 14in then the difference a scart lead makes in the picture department may not be noticed. But once you start getting 20in + TVs then the picture difference is noticable. Plus the scart lead has a optical link input which will allow the Xbox to be connected to a 5.1 sound system.
I bought one on launch day with my console, its well worth having.
