It's true, games are going to one day change us all into foul mouthed, dodgy eyesighted, unsociable beasts.
It's so obvious when you think of it, all the signs are there warning us to calm down but we ignore them! Look here, each area describes one stage of our transformation and I can bet many of you have already completed many of them!

Unsocial behaviour...

How many times have you been playing a game when somebody walks into the room and starts to talk to you? Have you noticed that whenever you are really stuck into a game the answer is always, "I don't care" or "Yes that's wonderful?" It's just proof, we are so ignorant when we are playing games, the only thing that matters is us and if anybody disturbs us, we just tell them to go away.

Violence and Rage...

Most of you would think of yourselves as being non-violent people who wouldn't vandalise your or other people's property. How many times though have you got so annoyed about a game that you have either smashed the controller against the floor or the wall, or taken you rage out on something bigger? I would never vandalise any furniture but I got so annoyed with South park that I stamped on my mum's bamboo table thing! My foot cracked the top of it and now it is in the bin!

Laziness...

This is a classic with all people, if anybody tells me they have never done this before then they are obviously lying! You are sitting down playing a great game and you are asked to tidy your room, wash up, etc... You know you have got the job to do, but you can never be bothered to do this! The answer that you always give is the classic, "I'll do it in a minute." The thing is though, you never do, I always get moaned at for leaving the washing-up soaking in the sink for a whole day because I was going to 'do it in a minute!'

Health...

Big problem here, many people have been playing games but have never really noticed that damage they are doing themselves. Have you ever got a game and played it so much that when you finish, your arms and fingers ache from holding the controller and your eyes sting from viewing the screen for so long? When we reach OAP status, we will all be blind due to television burning out our retinas and we wont be able to use our arms, hands or fingers due to chronic arthritis from playing games!

Obsession...

Can be a problem for some people when the play a game too much. That new game that you got the other morning and played all day has had more of an impact than you originally thought it had! You are now hoping to finish any job that you are doing so that you can rush home and play the game and you are now having trouble sleeping because all you do is dream about this game. It's taking over your life!

I just cannot believe how true all of these statements are though! It's painted a perfect image of what we are going to be like in years to come. We are going to be lazy, anti-social and goggle eyed with arthritis in our arms, hands and fingers, we are going to take any bit of anger out on the nearest person or object and all we will think, talk and do is games related!
