Gerrard picks up the ball after a stray Welsh ball doesn't find it's target. He passes it out to the right to Beckham, on the half way line. Beckham makes some progress, then lobs the ball across to Heskey, in a central position, 35 yards from goal. Heskey controls the ball on his chest, and lays it off for Owen, then makes a run into the box. Owen takes one touch, and plays a through-ball between the defenders, and Heskey is on to it to rifle a shot low into the right hand side.
The thing about the goal was that it just looked so real, the player movement, their touch etc.
I'm really enjoying ISS2, even though the defenders do seem to get caught forward a little too often, and it's hard to get back to defend! Also, I can't seem to score from crosses, but headering the ball down for another player is pretty effective!
It's much better for scoring great goals than any of the N64 games were.
With the '98 games you could only score bizzre goals - ones that were either volleyed in from the hllfway line, or bent in from the corner flag.
I can score some great long-range shots now with the likes of Scholes on Real Mode. Roberto Carlos is brilliant too.
I still can't manage to curl the ball though - not even from a set piece.
I was England playing against Russia, I picked the ball up with Campbell and passed it to Scholes who was on the half way line, with him I then took it past one player, got myself in a good postion and let rip with a beauty of a shot and it went in. Now that does not sound that good but it was 34.5 metres out.
I suppose you had to see it.

It's been confirmed in Japan so it should hopefully get a European release.
I was worried, cuz from the screenshots i've seen it looks kinds FIFA-like - YUCK!!
But I knew the gameplay would be very similar!

Been thinking of getting this game but dont now how much i'll like it. After playing Pro Evolution on the PS2 for nearly everyday since it came out last year, no other football game really comes close. Even going back to ISS 98 was crap after playing Pro Evo.
Try playing a match against Iran and listen to the crowd noise it's scary and at the same time hillarious, sounds like someone's brought a singing elephant to the stadium.
I have the game but no console due to the stock shortages! :(
I've also got Luigi's Mansion and Wave Race 'collecting dust'.
I've got the 2000 edition on the N64, but I finnished that once and for all about 2 weeks ago. It's a great game, but I was expecting the console and games to arrive very soon after.
I was wrong!
I still won't go back and play it though, and it's driving me mad!!
