If the general rule of thumb that people look like their pets (that someone made up many a moon ago and which has stuck ever since) was applied to consoles, we may see some strange statistics on the average look and personality of the proud owner of such a machine.

Here are some examples of how different console owners might look:

Playstation

The owner of such a machine is slightly grey in appearance; they also seem to chose very sharply angled clothes and tend to have a large mouth that looks as if it is yawning when it opens. The Playstation owner is pretty much a homely person who doesn’t worry about fitting in, but still likes to keep in with the crowd, even if they end up being a little late with their attempts.

Playstation (new version)

This young chap is rather round in a chubby sort of way, although quite small. He or she has a distinct lack of any tan, in fact, they look as though they try to avoid the sun rather than embracing it. They still like to hang around with a younger crowd, although find themselves sometimes attracting older audiences.

Playstation 2

The owner of this console prides themselves in being quite slim and tall. They are just as comfortable lying down as they are standing up, but have a habit of sticking out their tongue when they talk. The PS2 owner is quite versatile too, able to take in a movie or play with themselves when-ever they want, although they have trouble conversing with more than one friend at a time unless given a little help. Despite this, they still find that they fit in very well with those around them, not looking out of place beside their peers. They often have a dark and attractive appearance, offering mystery.

Xbox

Ah, the xbox owner is rather well built, but decidedly large. They do find it hard to fit in, unlike their PS2 pals, but they do promise a good time with similar versatility. Xbox owners also have a good memory, so you can rely on them to remember your birthday without having to give them a calendar. They also have a powerful air about them, which is always useful when trying to show off to their friends.

Gamecube

The Gamecube owner is a small chap or chapess, but they are always pleasing to the eye and have a bright smile when turned on. These people find it easy to mingle in a crowd and can please a number of people with their party tricks as well as being just as happy on the move as at home. You may find the Gamecube owner unhappy with some entertaining tasks though, but they make up for it in sheer delight at being able to please.

Dreamcast

Though the Dreamcast owner is sleek and modern looking, they often find it hard to adjust to the more modern situations. They have an air of friendliness about them, but also have their serious side. The Dreamcast owner is able to converse with many people from different countries and they can often be found on the phone. They will often complain when feeling run down and lose track of the date, and will feel out of place against some of the more popular crowds. Give them the chance though, and they will be happy to please with a wide range of entertainment.

Gameboy Advance

The GBA owner is young at heart and often looks to the old days for their inspiration. They are small, like their Gamecube owning cousins, but have the benefit of being able to see the picture of any given situation, no matter where they are. They do seem to suffer from a fear of the dark and feel rather drained if they have to provide illumination on a dull subject. The GBA owner is neat and tidy and can quite happily fit in anywhere, even with people who don’t usually travel in it’s own circles.

What if you own loads of them ?

Not bragging, but I have a Dreamcast, PS2, and Xbox. I assume I fit in well, get on with everyone, have plenty to show and impress, have good memory, sleek and modern, not too phased with time but sometimes get confused?

Nice original post, well done on your win.

funny stuff... nice post

Do you think that makes PC owners look like mutilated mutants. Their heads would be detatched from their torso, loosely connected by loose cables. Their various appendages would be dangling precariously from bits of wire. If you asked them a question, they would growl for a few seconds, and then either tell you the answer or go completely catatonic for half an hour. They would be extemely intelligent, but also moody. They'd be freaky lunatic geniuses.

I bet Steven Hawkins is a PC owner.

Nice one!

Some interesting things there, and I actually think some of those are quite acurate amongst certain people that I know! lol

But not me of course. I'm tall and not small, but I don't own a PS2. :P
