At first i was a little sceptical of the vague sounding rumours of backlight gbas and dodgy home upgrades, but it seems the backlight gba is a reality.

Does anyone really care? Is it worth the hassle? Who knows? Maybe you have an opinion? Put it in this topic.

I've seen them for £75, before international shipping and possiby a bit of tax whacked on by everyone's mate Tony B.
Now, being a big fan of rechargable batteries (just to snub sharp when they told me to get their 'special' rechargable one for my minidisk :O) ), the increased battery drain won't be a problem, and i hear they have pleanty of play time anyway. Not sure if they're as slim as regular gbas, but still pretty small, no doubt. I think that if they ship cheaply enough, it's my kind of thing.

Hmm, DIY kit. Interesting.

It looks like it might be more expensive to do that than to buy the whole new one though...

And though i do like taking the things apart, it's putting them back together than sometimes causes problems : S

Hmm...

about the size thing , they are exactley the same size as a normal gba , except that they have a small strip light inside them , and you have to cut a small piece of plastci from inside to make it fit. oh yeah , and i wasn't talking about buying a Backlit GBA , i was talking about buying the kit to do it yourself ;-) (i like to take things apart you see ;-))

ive bought one !

liksang , $35 , and they will recieve them tommorow (27th may) , so i should have mine within a week , altogether , it has cost me about £33 , but when you consider that i will now be able to see the screen at any angle , it's not that bad ;-)

if you want one , go to www.liksang.com , or if you want one from the UK , go to www.portablegamer.com , and you even get a free opening tool from both liksang and PB (the screwdriver with the tri wing head like the nintendo screws.)
at liksang they are $35 and at PB the are £35 , and postage from hong kong is around $6. So altogther it works out cheaper by about £2 from liksang , and the service the provide is ace , so i would go with them.
