The fact is that the XBox is the world's most advance console, even if you don't want to believe it, it is. Many people look at the sales figures of the XBox and say Dreamcast. When people say that to me I say Microsoft. Bill Gates is the riches man in the world, I don't think he willbe going bankrupt in the near future. As Robbie B (the man behind the XBox) said at E3 that Microsoft will not be falling out of the race. It will have over 200 games out by Christmas and 300 by next E3. The thrith is XBox RULES!
I don't really go in the Sony forum often any more because of all the spam so I don't know what they say about the X-Box in there much. More than anything, it seems to be Ninties. They look at the X-Box, desperately trying to find bad points about it. They look at the graphics and sound, etc and of course they can't really slate that. This leads to desperate whines about the size of the console. Some will look at the games line-up and selectively pick out the multiformat and PC titles that the X-Box is getting and use those in an attempt to slate it. Unfortunately they overlook the line up on their own machine.
The controller is another one they try to use. Personally, I haven't got particularly big hands and I find it quite practical. I have a Gamecube and I can certainly find a few things wrong with the consoles controller. The D-pad is too small in my opinion, the Z button is in an awkward position and I don't think it has enough buttons. On Rogue Leader, opening and closing the wings of certain ships is done by pressing the same button as you would to accelerate. I find that very annoying in dogfight situations and parts of battles where you need to slow down and pick up speed again quickly.
I don't see that camera analogue being very nice to use for FPS games either.
I mentioned the D-pad before and how it will be a nightmare when it comes to beat em ups. The reply I got was "there will be other controllers like third party ones" if I want to play beat em ups. Now, personally, one, I don't like to buy third party stuff and two, the amount of Ninties that have come in here and screamed about the X-Box controller being too big and crap and then sneered at the fact that Microsoft will offer an alternative smaller pad, just makes me laugh when I think of the answer I got over their pad.
Now, not all Ninties are this pathetic, but a large number of them are. They refuse to listen to any good points about the X-Box and are only interested in comments like "X-Box don't fit in my house - hur hur hur".
Makes you wonder if the staff from the Official Nintendo magazine have joined this site cause they say that kind of crap. Either that or its the Ninty's Bible and they are merely reading "passages" from it.
Trust me, your gonna hear crap like that a lot more cause Ninties can't stand competition. I guess in a way its a compliment to the Microsoft console - the fact they come in here whining and can't string together a decent reason as to why the X-Box is really as bad as they try to make you believe.
