I have to say i agree with harry redknapp about sven's choice in standbys, with dyer more likely than not injured, with gerrard, murphy and maybe beckham and Butt joining him, you want proven talent and big game experience to even out the naive but exciting skills of Joe Cole and Owen Hargreaves. Although I rate Dave Dunn very highly, i can't see a inexperienced midfield with him carving out chances and containing Argentina and Sweden.
Its the same with the strikers, although Al Smith is real quality, in my opinion you can only have one young 'secret weapon' in the squad (like Mike Owen) which we have in Darius Vassell.
My personal choice in standbys would be Steve Mcmanaman, Ray Parlour and Andy Cole.
