Anyone around here seen the screenshots of Doom 3? There's only 4 of 'em and you can get hold of them here on SR. However, SR being SR, they've shrunk them to some pathetically small resolution (and I'm on about the Big Pic here) so get yourselves over to gamesradar.com for the full 1024x768 treatment!
Sure, there's no shots of FPS action and stupidly-big guns, but the fact that those enemies and environments are being rendered in real-time is a tribute to John Carmack's coding abilities.
Looks like the PC will need some upgrading for this one though...hopefully that new card from Matrox (the one that has 256mb DDR on-board and blows GF4 out the water) will be released before Doom3.

John Carmack = FPS god!!

Check the screenshots for the game at the following link, they show in-game renders and Pre-designed sketches of some of the monsters in the game. Very freaky looking:

I think and hope doom 3 will be the next big hit for the PC. The only other game I am holding as much antisipation for is duke nukem forever (such an ironic name).

No, but the fact that it's made by John Carmack does!

We know that, but it would be nice if we had great graphics to go with a great game. If it is going to be a great game that is, RTCW was a let down, hopefully doom3 won't follow in its footsteps as a crap sequel.

Graphics a good game does not make.

Very pretty, but it doesn't mean it will be a great title. Time will tell.

Looks great, those enemies look freaky, but I bet we haven't seen the half of what this game has to offer bad guy wise. Looks like I too will have to upgrade my PC, hell it may cost a bit, but there are some great looking games on their way to the PC, I can't miss out on them.
