First of all, I saw the footage of the Game Boy Advance version of 'The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past'. This looks absolutely brilliant and by the looks of it, as well as containing the full original SNES adventure, there is also a four-player 'link' up quest in which you have to work together to get through. Though the graphics aren't quite the same, I'm sure the gameplay is top notch.
However, it wasn't until I saw the GameCube title, so far only called 'The Legend of Zelda' that my faith returned to 100%. Believe me, the still images do 'Celda' no credit at all! It's a bloody good game from the looks of things, and the E3 trailer, that was similar to a theatrical trailer, just made me want to walk over the waters to Japan and kiss Shigeru Miyamoto's feet. There was the deep American voice, probably the same guy who does all the movie trailers, introducing the game footage just like a movie, and the brilliant background music to the trailer made me stare at the screen without blinking! I felt I was hynotised to watch it over and over and over again!
The effects were brilliant, and that dodgy picture of Link in the boat, well just ignore it as the boat scene looks absolutely fantastic in the game itself! The fighting looks fantastic, and the way you control link looks very similar to that of Ocarina of Time. The animation is smooth, very quick, and the effects are just fantastic! And despite Link having a voice almost a high as Annie Lennox, his vocals just add to the fighting experience!
Some of the characters appear to be remakes of the Super Nintendo characters which appeared in the dungeons and caverns of "A Link to the Past" however, they are animated totally new and although the gameplay looks very similar to Ocarina of Time, it's bound to be a whole new experience!
Another clip from E3 I have seen is that of Super Mario Advance 3. N64 magazine predicted this as a game to be made for the Game Boy Advance, even before it's launch. It's basically a re-release of the highly acclaimed Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. The clips look exactly the same as the Super NES game, however some of the sound effects sound a little higher in pitch.
Anyway, I'm pleased that Nintendo have made such an effort to make up for their brilliant, but tragically not very popular, N64.
As Dringo would say: Here's to the future!
I keep forgetting about all the GameCube stuff when I realise that I will be able to play both the SNES games that I wanted but missed.
Missing a great game is something I don't like, but Nintendo have saved my day again! Not only do they come in un-tacky, un-worn-out boxes, but there are new features added too!
All I need now is Starwing from the SNES days, and maybe the first 3 Final Fantasy games that haven't been ported yet!
Great stuff though - and i'm very glad to see everyone has changed their opinions of the new Zelda for better and not even worse!
:D

Its the Conan music (the first film not the second), its one of my fav film theme tunes shame it won't be in the game because theres a Conan game coming out and I doubt Nintendo own the rights to use it.
On a side note, have any of you watched the footage of "The Getaway" on PS2? Now *that* looks like a nice game; after three years in the making, it bloody well should be!! LOL! (yes I own a PS2 as well, but not an XBox - recently sold that cos' it's a bit unnecessary to own one really!)
Zelda looks great and I can't wait to get my hands on it.
Even though I'm not that excited about Yoshi's Island (because I want Yoshi's Story), it does look great, and Metroid looks smooth and fantastic too.
I just wish that I could go to E3 so I could play all these games for myself, but for now, I'll just have to drool over these videos
