This works slightly differently to other FF1s I've seen in the past. You start off with $130 million and have to buy 2 drivers, engine and chassis. Initially you'll only be able to buy a rubbish team. But after each event you receive $50,000 per point that each of your drivers/chassis/engine gets. So after each race, you should be able to improve your team - but when you change something you lose 10% of the value. It all makes sense if you look at the web-site.
It's free to join. I've set up a mini league called the FrayBentos Appreciation League (You have to search for FrayBentos as one word). Once you've set up your team you should be able to search for that league and join it. If there's any one else you know who would be interested, feel free to pass this on and get them to join.
I'm going to bask in my glory. :D
