Well, I made it up to London on Monday. Nice and easy journey up to Canary Wharf and past a few shiny buildings (but no daleks in sight). Worked most of Monday in the Canary Wharf South Colinade office, and by worked I mean I really did have my work cut out for me. There till 8.30pm before a trip on the tube to Old St Station and the hotel I'm currently staying in.
The hotel (Barbican Thistle just off City Street) is basic, but it'll do for 2 days. Glad I'm not paying, £300 for 2 nights is a rip off in this place, the food last night was horrible. Luckily we got taken out by the boss of the company I was visiting today after a very successful presentation I gave.
Anyway, last day tomorrow, thrashing out some more plans for our business and then back on the late night train to Exmouth. Not been too bad a trip and I've finally met some of the guys from the US that I've been working with for the past 5-6 years face to face! Made some good contacts too and impressed my boss.

Well, booked on Friday for a room on Monday, so that doesn't help. Only had twin rooms left too. Feels more like a 3 star hotel to me at the moment, though at least they have BTOpenzone wireless, which means I can log in with my free minutes and type this!
I dont know how you came up with £300 either, unless you've been at the mini-bar. It's a 4 star hotel but there are much cheaper rooms available. For £150 a night i'd expect better.
