Which non-official scart-connection cable gives the best quality, and will a GC bought in France(possible price reduction due to Euro conversion rate) work in the UK and have english manuals(will the manuals be part english, part french etc)?

The euro GC price is €200, which works out to £122-123. I don't know about whether buying one in France works, because they use SECAM and not PAL as their TV standard. I bought mine in Dublin for €200, but games in Dublin are generally more expensive (about €65-70 which is £41-43). Plus a £20 train ticket to Dublin.

As for the SCART cables, I don't know cos I have mine connected to my amp using composites, and I could really do with some better cables if it weren't for the proprietary connector on the GC end.
