there will be no competition from Dreamcast or N64 in NZ as the N64 is not being imported anymore and the Dreamcast has pulled from the shelves as the (official word) was that it was because the modems did not work in NZ. I reackon its because they know theyll get blown out of the water by PS2. anyone in NZ with one can get a full refund on their machine and games etc.
There are no shops in NZ aloud to take pre orders but it sounds like they could be doing the dirty and making us purchase a package deal. also the machines are going to be delivered by special couriers on the morning of release so no one gets them before 9am. witch is not to bad as a mate of mine is a store manager and im a (special employee) for the morning and have been told i have to go to work early if you know what i mean, so i know ill get one.
