i can hardly contain my excitement. the best ever 16-bit (or 32-bit) game of all time is coming to the GBA, with a 4 player.
A Link To The Past was the best ever game for the SNES, and it was HUGE. i don't think that i ever completed it, and i must have played for at least 80 hours.
i want it now, i have even given thought to re-buying a SNES, just so i can play this game. LInk's Awakening, Oracle Of Ages/Seasons are not a patch on this masterful game. if it doesn't come out in the next 6 months i will be angry.
AND metroid is coming out, in all it's 16-bit glory, along with Ypshi's Island, perhaps the second and third best SNES games ever.

anyone who is not excited needs their head examined

the game isn't the same on the emulator in 2002, you had to be their with your SNES pad in 1995
Link to the past was better because i loved it. there, i said it, and half the people with a GBA have never played any og these SNES games, and the other half sold their SNES years ago
So these re-hashed games are no bad thing, even though i've played through most of them, i still enjoy them because it was such a long time ago.

although, i would love some new zelda/metroid/FF/DK/MK/KI

I never played the SNES version but I heard a lot of good things about it. This is mainly cuz I never really got into the series untill the N64 games.

But i'm glad too see it's coming to the GBA as I finally get a chance to play it, meaning I don't have to try and find an old SNES version.

:D

I think it's good that Ninty are re-releasing old classics, BUT they should definitely be backing these up with new games. Nintendo should still be masters at 2D platformers and top down Zelda-esque RPGs, so why not make some?!?

What? For gods sake, why don't they make some new games? All Nintendo have realeased on the GBA are old games. I got Link to the past on emulator and to be honest it was pretty crap. If theres to be a remake of anything it should be Chrono Trigger from Squaresoft, that game was amazing!

This is great news A Link To The Past is such a class game, I spent ages and ages playing it on the SNES and got so close to the end I could almost touch it but never quite made it. I would be intrested to see how they can make this 4 player though, but I eagerly anticipate whats in store.
