See Rar's logo, I want to make it properly cel-shaded. That's just done with a 3D effect, a border and reducing it to about 5 colours. Does anyone know what software I need? Presumably some 3D stuff, I can aquire it. I do have 3DS MAX 4 and The Blender (preferred). Is getting a cel-shaded effect hard, or better, is it possible to do it without 3D software?

The fact that it's hosted on luke's cable connection and theres usually loads of people d/lin from him may also slow it down a bit.

Screw you. Read the disclaimer on the front page. The site's not supposed to be usable, it's supposed to be nice. Those images are around 100k each, that takes me 7 seconds on my 56k. You're lucky they're in JPGs at all, it makes them look crap. PNG is so superior.

Your images were TOO big! On my 56k modem, each one took about 30 seconds to load. I have optimised them, and uploaded them to:

and

Please upload these instead!!!!

I managed to do something pretty similar in Photoshop. In a new document I painted random splotches of various shades of orange using a large soft-edge brush. I then applied the 'Stained Glass' filer having set the forground colour to black. Lastly applying a blur makes the black borders softer.
