For a decent one you need to pay half the price of a PC and now most new games require a 3D card!
I haven't got one if you haven't guessed already, and even though they are a great piece of hardware do we really need them?
If yes then new PC's should have them already installed like they do with graphics cards, sound cards, hard drives, etc.
Ok for those who want to upgrade and have the money it's easy but for people like me who only get brand new titles when I see them on offer it's very hard!
I think new games should have a 3D/2D mode like the old games had with high and low resolutions. Starfleet academy had this and was voted best PC game of 1998! This would benefit games companies as they would be able to sell more copies of games which would benefit the people who make and sell 3D cards as people would think to themselves "I wonder what this would look like with a 3D card".
