I'm still working my way through Gta3. I haven't had it that long and i'm about 40% complete.
Anyway, is it possible to fly the plane a considerable distance. I build up loads of speed and i'm quite careful with the controls yet i dont fly far at all....

as you are heading down the runway you need to push down and, once you see sparks coming from the propellor, release gently and you will float up. the dodo reacts very badly to sudden movement and you really want to avoid pushing up as this is likely to stall. there are flying guides available on sites elsewhere like gamefaqs.
