This is my homework on acid rain. Don't know why I posted it! Feel free to adapt it if you do any homework on acid rain!

Acid rain is formed when sulphur and nitrogen (produced by pollution from cars) react with water to form sulphuric and nitric acid. This then evaporates and falls as rain. Carbon dioxide has the same effect.
If it gets into a pond or a lake, it can kill all the organisms in it. It damages forests as it ‘eats away’ at the leaves, not allowing it to photosynthesise properly.
It can be prevented by cutting down on the burning of fossil fuels and fitting catalytic converters to cars, which reduce the emission of nitrogen oxides, have been compulsory on all new cars in the United Kingdom since 1993.

I have no homework becuase i am doing GCSE exams. Started today. I have a nice aura of calm.
