Got a nice little problem for you lot to think about!

All the other office programs work properly, but when I load word, it stalls on the title screen thing and just completely crashes my computer.
I've tried to re-install but that doesn't help.

P.S After the Ctrl-Alt-Del attempt, it comes with a blue screen and after a while says there is not enough memory to open word or anything else!

Ive got 128 meg of RAM so Word should work. I've also got 10 gig left on my C:/
Also trying closing EVERYTHING doesn't help and opening it straight away doesn't work either.

It used to work, but then stuffed up. I then re-installed it and it was fine. It stopped working again last week and nothing helps!

All other programs work fine, it's just word.

On a similar subject:

I got MS Word 2000 packed with another load of programs, called Microsoft Works Suite 2000. Every other program has worked properly except for Word. I can't inbstall it. I get to the point where it asks for the CD code thing, which is apparently printed on the Certificate of Authenticity, but there isn't a code on it which will fit the form fields provided, and, if there is, it still won't accept them.

Help! Please!

Burning MP3s isn't going to help, they only use MEMORY when they're running. That's not the same as disk space.

Also, it can't be a memory problem. I ran Word 2000 on this when it had 28mb RAM perfectly. However, try restarting your computer and run Word *first thing*.

If you're on the net, try pcpitstop.com. It'll give you a free evaluation of the PC and suggest places where you have problems.

Mind you, it's probably more for home users :-)

Sounds like you have or are running low on memory. Buy more is the simple answer or clear up your computer and get rid of all the junk you don't need. MP3's clutter it up so if you have loads I suggest putting them onto CD's.

Have a go at closing all the programs you've got open before you try to open it. If it still crashes, then I havn't got a clue what's wrong.
