For those who didn't I shall explain.
On last nights program, Sam Hamann, (Chairman no less, of Cardiff city F.C.)was caught on camera socialising with what can only be described as a group of thugs.
These people were well known by the police as convicted football hooligans. Some were the very same people who instigated the riots at the last European championship in Holland and Belgium.
At one point these Idiots were seen marching down the street, searching for rival fans, singing songs about how much they hate the 'F**king English'.
Now sam, Instead of condemning this behaviour outright treated the whole thing with a flipant humour. Calling one of them out in a meeting and basicaly telling him to keep his nose clean for a couple of weeks. Then suggesting that the press were out to get him and it was all a big conspiricy.
At one point Sam even treated them to a night in a hotel, while they were on their way to an away match. Stopping to pose for a series of photos.
If it still doesn't seem all that bad, then let me tell you that the people in the photos are known to be members of the 'soul crew'. Cardiffs answer to the 'Chelsea Headhunters'. A discpicable group of meatheads with certain Right wing leanings.
I can't really do justice to what the program portrayed last night and I am very aware that Sams side of the story wasn't aired but i'll put it this way.
If you remember recently there were stories in the press about what I think were Millwall fans being accused of running riot and seriously maiming police horses. This is the kind of people we are talking about.
Now with that in mind, should a Chairman of a Football League club be in any way associated with these Hooligans?
The head of one group rings up the head of the other group and says,
'right, where are you? Meet us at ...... and we'll all fight yeh?
'O.K. well see you there'.
One guy last night was saying things like,
'I'll give them credit, them Bristol boys gave us a good go then'
??????????????????
I was absolutely stunned to hear on that show that one of the ringleader hooligans is actually an ex-Cardiff player! Talk about 'should know better'!
At least we escaped the Millwall morons getting into the Premiership this year. That was a lucky break.
Cardiff should be kicked out of the league immediately. But let's face it, they're not the only ones.
