The skipper's comeback continues without a hitch. Sven revealed over the weekend that his medical staff are "very positive" that Becks will be OK for the opening game against Sweden and maybe even the friendly against Cameroon, but it's probably best to keep those fingers crossed just in case as he's still not kicking with his left foot. Worked in the gym on Sunday.
NICKY BUTT
Continuing his specialist work with England physio Gary Lewin - as part of the programme agreed with Manchester United - following injury to his knee. Trained with the rest of the squad again on Sunday and kicked with both feet. But he will not play against South Korea.
SOL CAMPBELL
Suffering from a gashed shin but trained with the rest of the squad on Sunday. Probably will not be risked for the South Korea game but should be okay for the Cameroon game.
KIERON DYER
The Newcastle man insists it's still "touch and go" whether he will be fit for the World Cup finals, and will face a fitness test on Tuesday ahead of Sven's final squad decision. The good news is that he's come through some pretty intensive gym work unscathed so far, and at least one Sunday tabloid featured him kicking a ball.
ROBBIE FOWLER
Supposedly has an injured hip but has taken part in three consecutive training sessions with no adverse reaction. Likely to play at some stage against South Korea.
MARTIN KEOWN
Has a foot injury but it's believed to be little more than a bruised heel. Also trained on Sunday and is likely to face South Korea.
