Just been round some American forums and the PS2 is getting great reviews.They have gone as far as saying that it beats the Dreamcast hands down in every field.
They were also saying that people were buying the console and selling it round the corner for anything between $500-$1000. The same people were then going to different shops and using the money to buy two or three more units and selling them on, making a huge profit. At least with our pre-order system it would be very difficult for that to happen.
Also, AOL (America On-Line, ISP) are offering the opportunity to buy a GUARENTEED LAUNCH DAY PS2. Apparently they have got together with an internet retailer and when they submitted their allocation to Sony, some of the people that ordered through them had ALREADY pre-ordered elsewhere. (Naughty people)
My point with this post being, if they can offer a GUARENTEED PS2, then this has to be good news for all us that have already pre-ordered.
