Yep, what goes up must go down - a very true statement that is also very true in the world of Gaming.

I agree with you there, but I strongly dis-agree when you say that the Cube's sales will suddenly drop from right now and onwards.

The Launch Time sales were un-believeable, breaking all records.
But despite the success, there are still many gamers in Europe who did not get their Cubes then, and may still be awaiting what they pre-ordered a month or two ago. And there are also those of us awaiting the end of GCSE and A-level exams before we get into some high-quality Nintendo gaming.
So there are still some good reasons as to why the Cube will still be selling well after the launch, for this year at least.

Look at the Launch Titles, not as exciting as we might have expected.
But that only means that all the AAA Titles are on the way in the future.
We have the likes of Resi Evil, Mario Sunshine and Turok Evo. coming out later this year, and those are REAL games to buy a console for!
Oh, and of course, Smash Bros. Melée in just FOUR DAYS!!
So there are a number of good reasons as to why some people may not be getting their Nintendo GameCubes untill later this year, when the 'real titles' come out and they won't care what the critics say as they'll be able to get what they call 'Top-Class Gaming'!

The same applies to 2003 also.
There's a whole new Zelda game to look-forward to, and there may also be a Zelda: OoT re-make too! And if that ain't enough, how does an all new Mario Kart sound! *VROOM-VROOM* As the GameCube's sales increase rapidly!

And incase you didn't know, Nintendo have apparently adopted a new 'Short 'n' Sweet' policy towards their top titles.
This includes Mario and Zelda, and could mean we see a new Platform and RPG-Adventure every 6 months or so!
So we could again see GameCube sales shooting-up every 6 months or so for the next few years.

But all goods things come to an end. And the GameCube unfortunately won't go-on forever. But it'll be a great 5 years of gaming before we say "Goodbye" to that little but powerfull rectangular Cube.
And some of us haven't even said "Hello" to one yet!

They are around £130, but could come down even lower than that. I got mine for £110, because I pre-ordered from amazon ages ago.

And I do love my cube. Its great. I am not dissapointed in it at all.

I can see no reason for anyone to buy an X box. They are ugly, too expensive, and are made by a company who has no games experience. Unlike Nintendo who have over 20 years experience, and make the bext looking console.

Well I'm getting a GC next month, and from what I've seen around the shops it’s a very popular console. It would have to be since everywhere is sold out of the machine. Also if you look around these forums you'll find just about everyone who has a GC loves it. Not like the x-box, which some people aren’t impressed with, or the PS2 with people selling their machine just to get a cube.

I don't think that there will be a huge drop in sales judging by its popularity, the GC looks like a great console and I can't wait to get mine in a month. If they have them in stock again that is.

I don't think this guy really knows what he's talking about, the Gamecube is expected to have bad sales from now on is it?

Ha ha the X Box is doing well in America but the Gamecube is still outselling it and as for Europe it's doing better but not really well.

Ah, but ofcourse sales will die down. They always do a month or so after a consoles release as the majority of waiting fans have got theirs by then.

The X-box isn't doing so well in Europe. It has had terrible sales ever since launch in Japan and Europe, and despite the price drop people are still reluctant to purchase one.
