For those that didn't read my lengthy (and the first :D) review of Star Wars: Episode II, I didn't think it was particlarly great. Sure it had explosions and CGI battles, but so has every other film that comes out these days. Look beyond the special effects and try and get into the spirit of the Star Wars universe - then you'll see where I'm coming from. Anyway, I'm not going to start ranting here again (read the review if you want an insight into my thoughts on this subject). Put your name here, and the reasons if you want, if you didn't tihnk Ep2 was much cop.

I liked how it explained:

The origins of the Death Star
Where all the storm troopers came from
Jango and Boba Fett - who, where and why (I knew about all that before Ep 1 came out - my friend and I were massive SW fans and knew the storyline)
Why Luke starts out from a moisture farm
***WHY*** Anakin starts to turn bad
Where the Empire starts from
Where the Star Destroyers came from

I thought it was a really good film.

A quick Question - are episode 4, 5 and 6 out on DVD?

I'm not sure if it was you who mentioned it but the Worst Acting Of All Time award goes to Natalie Portman for one specific scene. After just being thrown out of an airborne vehicle, she is on the sand after rolling approximately 231 times. She gets up groggily. Someone goes over to her 'Are you alright?' they ask. Suddenly from getting up like she was in a coma, she goes 'Yes' and gets up straight away. This has been a terrible re-inaction of what happened, but if you've seen it you'll know what I mean. Simply laughable (and how I did).

Yip, dammit. I have read a few other people's reviews though and they do agree with me that the acting and dialogue was poor. That's enough to keep me going.

Looks like you're in the minority here, doesn't it?
