Just downloaded the Spaceworld showing of the new Cel-Shaded Zelda for the Gamecube. And you know what...I can't wait.

Now don't get me wrong, this isn't the first time I had seen what this game looked like. I had seen screenshots and they didn't really do that much for me. But when I say this game in action my anticipation went up for this game %100!

It angered me to see so many people on these forums and elsewhere say how they hated the new look Zelda with it's childish visuals. It's called Cel-Shading dudes and it rocks. You say you want gameplay over graphics yet you complain about the 'look' of the new Zelda? Shame on you.

So the video starts off with Mr.Videogamegenius just announcing his new title and offering the crowd to have a look at the video. I can't describe the look on the guys face, he looks happy yet afraid people might not like it. he know's it was gonna be a suprise but how can people not like it? He made it man!

The actual game footage then starts and we are greated by these pig like creatures that need to go back to the farm. They are big, brown, hog-like and stupid. I mean, they fall into the water due to all of Links "YAAA! HIGYA!" stuff. During the video you seem link beat them all up a bit and you just want to take the control and do it yourself.

It looks as though the game plays alot like the 64 versions with the same kind of battle system but there was one feature I loved about this video though it was very short. If you've got the video or if you haven't (go download it) look at the bit where Link is creeping along. Now he may look like a Solid Snake wannabe but look at that little guy move! When i first get this game I'm going keep creeping and creeping.

When the video ends Mr.Guywholookslikemyuncle gets a round of appaulse though their are diffrent feelings in them. And you know what else, the guy just laughs because he knows it's gonna rock and he knows he has posters of himself in his room therefore he knows that he is godlike (to some people).

If you moan about this game then you are stupid. The other thing we have to remember is that Link's world is a 'fantasy' world not a 'real' world. If this was made too realistic where would the fun be? Real isn't fun, real is about going to work and being bored and watching Zelda videos etc.

Looks aren't everything :-)

p.s I'm no Ninty, I'm neutral, kinda...*doe's peace sign*

all RPG's have stats which you train up and items you need to collect. although that means the chao gardens is a mini RPG...

I would say Zelda is more of a Adventure game too, but the SNES versions were more RPG like. Much more adventure now though.

I'm glad someone gave you the link to that, I would of if I had checked back here earlier. The file is not very large really and well worth the wait if you are on a modem. If you've only seen screenshots then check it out.

I been watching it on and off today when i got a bit bored and I noticed another cool thing - When Link hits the Pig-like things toes with his sword the Hog goes mental and starts hopping around like a loonie.

Gald it's delayed in a way...hear now - this game will rock!

It's pretty hard to define ROG anyway... basically any game could be an RPG... in Half-Life for example, you're taking on the role of Gordan Freeman, in F-Zero you're taking the role of a racer you pick... But I think Zelda had more of an RPG 'feel' in 2D like on the SNES and Game Boy games (and of course the original NES version...), now they're in 3D they have more of an adventure game with RPG tinge kind of feel to them... well, that's what I think...

Where did you download it from and what size is it???

I can't wait for it either!
It may not look like 'Zelda' but it still follows on in the no.1 RPG series!

Ah yes, key point there. They do in fact look 2D on screenshots but when put onto your console you will realise they are nothing like the screenshots.

At least it's something to look forward to instead of knowing what it's all about by the tons of screenshots you see.
